MountainMan Brand was created in Star Valley, Wyoming by Dave Hopkins, a 4th generation “mountain man” who spends as much time in the outdoors as possible.
MountainMan Brand is about the mountain man/woman in all of us, it embodies the true outdoorsman.
We all feel the need to escape the chaos of everyday life, to reconnect with ourselves and family, to be reminded of when things were more simple. Within the backdrop of the majestic mountains, you can find tranquility and peace.
The calm you seek may come from fishing in quiet streams or sitting around a roaring campfire gazing at the stars. It could be while hiking through grassy meadows to areas untouched by man, or hearing the elk bugle in the crisp fall air and pursuing him. It could also be skiing/snowboarding down Alpine slopes or snowmobiling the back country thru fresh powder. Whatever it is that’s holding you back from living your dream, we believe you can find it in the mountains.
The future of our outdoor heritage rests with the spirited sportsmen across the country. Dave hopes these MountainMan products will be a symbol of your fervent love for the mountains, and that you continue to protect and preserve the land to be able to pass it on to future generations.

Behind the Buck Logo
When deciding on a buck logo to use with MountainMan, I had a strong desire to imitate the buck that my Great Grandpa Parley Hopkins shot back in 1935. Grandpa Parley is the one that really started that love for the outdoors and hunting. (At least as far back as I can remember). These pictures show how our tradition has been passed on. The love of hunting and the outdoors and pursuing big game has been a passion for all of his generations.
